​Bioluminescence Boat Tour

Hardly any phenomenon has such a mystical effect on us as bioluminescence in all its forms. For this we drive to the Laguna de Manialtepec, near Puerto Escondido. There we get into a boat just before nightfall and wait until it starts.

​Swimmers experience a true feeling of happiness. It is simply indescribable to move under a wonderful starry sky in the midst of millions of luminescent microorganisms.

This natural phenomenon is difficult to document even with special cameras. There are only very few good photos worldwide. You have to experience it yourself.

Duration:   5-6 hours as the journey time is just over an hour each way. Departure between 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m

 

To bring:   swimwear - insect repellent

 

Other: The best time is from mid-November to late January. We orient ourselves on the moon for this tour. The less light, the more spectacular the spectacle.  3-4 days before and after new moon are, apart from cloudy nights, the most promising.  We will of course let you know on which days we will do the tour.
